The low-speed maglev train makes use of the speed and position measurement system to provide the speed signals for the close-loop control of the driving system. By the the train-to-wayside communication system, the speed and the position information are delivered between the maglev train and the operation control system on the wayside. And the automatic operation control of the multiple trains on the line is realized. Therefore, the train-to-wayside communication system and the speed and position measurement system are two significant subsystems in the low-speed maglev train.In order to solve the requirements of the low-speed maglev train, in the paper, a complex system that could fulfill the train-to-wayside communication and speed and position measurement is designed and realized. The paper mainly researches the contents as follows.1. On the basis of the novel induction loop-cable, electromagnetic models are established and the characteristics are analyzed. The principle of the system is theoretically explained in detail.2. The requirement of the low-speed maglev to the performance of the train-to-wayside communication system is researched. The encoder and the decoder based on the FPGA and specified IC are introduced. A duplexer is realized in the paper as well.3. A speed and position measurement system with rough positioning and refined positioning function is designed and realized. In order to solve the problems in the speed and position measurement system, a kind algorithm of the TrackingDifferentiator(TD) is induced.4. At last, the paper introduces the analog and digital circuit of the train-to-wayside communication system and the speed and position measurement system. Simultaneously, the experiments in the laboratory and on the maglev test line are presented too.
