The development and utilization of underground space is the inevitable result of city gathered enough, it can alleviate the urban space crowded, traffic jams, environment is becoming worse. In urban underground space development and utilization, the use of the underground commercial street is one of the main form, in addition, the underground space in the underground commercial street, have the closest relations with people stay in it the longest. Because people are hard to navigate in the underground commercial street, easy to get lost, nervousness, panic and other psychological feelings. The users not only consumes time and energy, reduce the use of underground business street overall efficiency, and emergency situations will cause confusion and evacuation of personnel and property losses. So it is necessary to research on underground commercial street pathfinding.Based on the people in the underground commercial street pathfinding behavior as a starting point, the object of study is mainly limited in formats such as retail clothing, entertainment, catering mainly underground commercial street. First introduces the related theory, pathfinding domestic part of the typical underground commercial street and practical investigation, summarizes and induces the underground commercial street in use by the general problems, such as atmosphere is monotonous, space scale, poor marking system chaos, lack of detailed design and so on all have a certain negative impact on pathfinding. Characteristic is not obvious in the space of underground commercial street, marker set has a great influence on people pathfinding behaviour. In short, underground commercial street design, based on the pathfinding behavior should be based on the cognitive psychology of the people, emphasis from space orientation, ambience is complementary, and then by identifying design complement, create a harmonious and orderly, orientation of the underground commercial street environment. Specific design strategies on the spatial orientation including the entrance design, space layout, the channel and the area design, atmosphere build design is mainly to improve the underground environment; Logo design including map Settings, underground traffic signs, and commercial logo design. Last hope field investigation and experimental research in this study provide reference to the design of the underground commercial street in the future.
