In recent years, China’s mountain citys’ construction were developed rapidly and the mountain city expanded unboundedly. However this has brought huge pound to the geo-ecological environment geo-ecological environmentgeo-ecological environment and aggravated the fragility of geo-ecological environment, which resulting in a series resources, geological, ecological and social problems that increased the tense of the space resources. what’s more, the gradually changed geo-ecological environment affects the sustainable development of urban society and economy. The original random expanding way cannot satisfy the need of the development as an eco-city. Therefore, the first thing that needed to build the eco-city is to fix position of the urban’s function, which should be based on the studying of the geo-ecological environment and then to make a reasonable planning of city layout. The diversity and complexity of mountain towns determines that the construction of mountain towns can not copy the development model of plain city. The formation, development, changes of landscape environment is influenced by geo-ecological environment, especially mountain towns rich in landscape resources. The factors that composed of the geo-ecological environment(such as geological structure, topography, climate and soil) will make its internal changes effect on the external landscape environment. And then the urban spatial layout will be affected in much of the quality, pattern of landscape environment. In this context,we urgently need to explore a reasonablemeans of planning and design, both to meet the needs of urban expansion and maintaining the natural ecological environment. That will protect natural landscape characteristic of mountain towns, and using the natural landscape reasonably at the same time to coordinate with the development of urban space. Based on the above reasons, this thesis from the perspective of Multi-discipline, follow the main line of geo-ecological, to explore the interrelationship between the landscape environment and layout of urban space in mountain towns. Using the theory of ecology basing on the survey and analysis on the geo-ecological environment to solve the practical problems that among the development of city, the protection and utilization of landscape environment. Finding a suitable space layout mode joint the physical space construction with the natural, to deal with the relationship between the city and the landscape environment, which will make great practical significance and application value of the sustainable development of mountain towns. This thesis is a sub-subject of the key project of National Natural Science Fund, It which is based on the project of urban and rural planning research of Kaixian in Chongqing.(2012-2030). Kaixian, a city of special topography and landscape environment, obvious ecological characteristics, and belonging to the center of of the Three Gorges Reservoir of the north of Yangtze River, which has the important research value. This paper analyzes the relationship and influence between ecological landscape and urban space layout from the perspective of geo-ecological, and then put forward some countermeasures for mountain towns that fusion the space layout and landscape environment. Taking Kaixian as the object of practical study, investigating and studying the geo-ecological, natural landscape and urban spatial development to analysis these problems and find out the solutions. What we present in this paper will provide guidance for the healthy, sustainable development in Kaixian, which will also provide a new idea and method for the combining of the geo-ecological planning and construction of towns in the future.
