With the rapid development of economy in our country, meanwhile, the demand for power resources is increasing, which leads the State Grid gradually increasing the construction scale of the transmission lines, so it is inevitably leading to transmission line through coal mining area. Because of its special and complicated location,transmission lines in coal mining area are often affected by snow bad weather, once the angle tower-line system which is an important part of power transmission lines are damaged, and the harm is great, so it is significant to study the mechanism of iced angle tower-line system to ensure the safe of transmission lines.By using the scale model test of angle tower-line system in which the tower undergoes inclination and horizontal tension and compression deformation from X direction with the load on the conductor and grounding simulating icing, the variation of strain of members of tower within the scope of flexbile working under the deformation of seperate surface is studied. The feasibility of finite element method for solving the nonlinear problem of tower-line system is verified by the comparative analysis of the results of finite element analysis and scale model test.With the method of finite element analysis, the influence of tower-line system by single ground deformation is studied. It focus on the analysis of the mechanism of iced angle tower-line system with the influence of inclination and horizontal tension and compression deformation in which considering four kinds of icing thickness. The variation of index of SEQV stress curve of bars and the force of support reaction and stress curve of the conductor and grounding with support displacement are given.Compared the support displacement value, the sequence of overlimit and failure of tower-line system under different surface deformation and the most unfavorable position and failure limit displacement of transmission tower-line system are put forward. At the same time, the influence of pros and cons of iced on angle tower-line system and safety performance resisting ground deformation are obtained.
