Meanwhile, taking the approach of "value protection, underrate using" to keep the high historical and cultural value architectural heritages of the fortress statically, and not be used effectively, causing its slow development of tourism industry. Faced with the realities, the exploring of Dapeng Fortress historic buildings reasonable renewal and used is an important issue related to the cultural heritage. The cultural tourism is the entry point to Dapeng Fortress updated historic buildings of this article, through the development of cultural tourism, makes Dapeng Fortress historic buildings to be inherited and development.Firstly, through the reviewing of relevant literature and data, make certain the connotation, features and elements of cultural tourism in this paper. Combined with studies of historic buildings, summed up the cultural tourism development factors and processes of historic buildings, and sorting out the relevant theory and research give this papers the theoretical support. Then summarized the structure and value of Dapeng Fortress cultural tourism resources, and establish interactive relationships between Dapeng Fortress historic buildings and cultural tourism. On this basis, combined the factors of cultural tourism development of historic buildings(the building itself, the needs of touri sts, the tourism environment), through the method of field researching and recording, summarized the types and characteristics of Dapeng Fortress historic buildings, analysed its problems on the protection and utilization, and explored the root causes of problems. Through questionnaires, interviews and data analysis methods, making an in-depth research on visitors, making certain visitor’s needs of the cultural tourism development of Dapeng Fortress historic buildings. On this basis, analysing the problems of tourism development of Dapeng Fortress historic buildings. Then, combined with domestic and foreign practice, summarized the experience and insufficient of cultural tourism development of historical buildings, combined with the Dapeng Fortress protection plan and the results of investigation, determined the objectives, principles, manners, and thinkings of the update, and proposed the operation methods of cultural tourism combined with historic buildings. Finally, make appropriate, targeted update countermeasures to Dapeng Fortress Levee ruins and traditional architecture respectively, feasibility and instructional update design.I hope that through this research, provides positive theoretical and practical guidance to the protection and development of Dapeng Fortress in the future, and reference and inspiration to the protection and renewal of historic buildings of other historical and cultural cities that have the same nature.
