With the development of science and technology, as well as the continuous increasing of industrialization process, our aerospace industry has made great strides and remarkable achievements. As the key equipment of space exploration,spacecraft’s capabilities are strongly influenced by the bearing of its swing mechanism. At present aerospace bearings, which are mostly plated with solid lubricant of Mo S2, need to have running tests to improve the operation performance before the assembling and using in spacecrafts. High quality bearings ensure high quality spacecrafts.To accelerate running process and reduce test time, certain load needs to be put on the bearing during the test. Because of the rough track after plating, the actual pressure of the bearing is constantly changing with the rotating. So adjusting of pressure output is required, according to the real-time feedback of the pressure sensor during the running test.PID control algorithms are applied to control the drive motor and the load motor in low velocity bearing running test system. So the load motor can bring specific pressure to the bearing before the running test, keep the stability of the pressure during the running test. The drive motor can regulate the real-time velocity of the bearing with feedback during the running test and have self-braking after the running test.Multiply digital filtering algorithms are applied in low velocity bearing running test system to process the real-time status data acquisition of the bearing during the running test. Occasional electromagnetic interference and random error of the sensor for pressure and torque can be removed, leaving valid real-time data of the pressure and torque alone.Statistical significance tests of the bearing torque data are processed in low velocity bearing running test system, which give out the probability of the hypothesis of torque data has no significance difference after the running test.Tests results provide data support of the manual screening.Simulation tests of PID control algorithms and digital filtering algorithms have been conducted, verifying the effectiveness in automatic control and signal screening. Analysis results of the practical bearing running test with low velocity bearing running test system prove that system has complete functions and well performance.
