In the area of metallurgy, electric power, oil and chemical industry, high voltage and large-scale fans are pivotal equipment. In order to insure the quality of products and the security of production new fans must be tested carefully before leaving factory. Shenyang Blower Ventilation Co., Ltd. has the biggest fan test running bed in Northeastern area and the power of this new bed can reach to 3200kW. With the development of industry technique, there will be higher requirement for the automation level of fan test running bed supervisory control system.On the base of investigating fan test running bed, analyzing and studying the basic capabilities of IPC, Remote I/O modules (ADAM modules) and industry supervisory control configuration software, this article provides a solution for the fan test running bed supervisory control system by using system analyzing approach. This solution use KingView as supervisory control software to form a remote data acquisition and control system based on IPC.The supervisory control system uses Windows2000 operating system as running platform. It uses RS-485 field bus to make connection and achieve the communication between IPC and Remote I/O by using a module ADAM-4520 RS-232/RS-485 convertor. According to the requirement of the supervisory and control circumstance in the test running bed field, this scheme designs reasonable control methods and chooses appropriate hardware equipment. It carries out the communication between IPC and ADAM modules. The supervisory control system has many functions like signal acquisition, data processing, dynamic display, man-machine conversation, real-time alarm, history trend analysis, report forms printing and so on.
