Bearings are one of the most key components in rotating machinery, and their stable and reliable operation is relating to people’s lives and property. Aero-bearings, due to the particularity of their application environment and use conditions, are extreme important to air transport safety, national defense and military. Skidding is one of the most common forms of failure to aero-bearings those run in high-speed and light-load process. There will be a great threat to the stable operation of aero-bearings when they begin skidding. However, because of the lack of effective measuring method of cage actual speed and inner temperature, it is very difficult to monitor skidding and research on the impact of it on bearing temperature. At the same time, the rapid development of modern aviation industry asserts a higher claim to the operation of bearings, which makes skidding research increasingly urgent.In this paper, the use of new sensors and communication transmission technology makes the monitoring of cage actual speed and inner temperature come true, and realize comprehensive monitoring on skidding and temperature of bearing through VB and other softwares.In the meantime, it carries out preliminary analysis and research on bearing temperature changes caused by skidding, and provides important monitoring tools and methods for the skidding study.Firstly, use fiber o Ptic sensors to achieve the measuring of rolling bearings cage speed those internal and outer rings rotate at the same time. By arranging o Ptical fiber, the emission of the light source is transferred to one side of cage, and that solves the obstruction of outer rings’ tooling. So that the rotation of rolling bodies which is cage rotation can be transformed to the pulse signal. There will get cage actual speed by counting pulses. Build simulation equipment to verify the feasibility of the method and theory, and that provides a theoretical and practical foundation for its practical application.Then, using the wireless digital technology and combining RTD, the device achieves contacted measurement and signal transmission of inner temperature. Using a thin film thermal resistor to build temperature signal and amplified analog conversion circuit, the temperature variation is converted to an output voltage. Using MCU acquiring and completing analog to digital conversion of the output voltage, it controls the wireless transmission module to send and receive digital signals. Through the communication between MCU and the host computer, the received digital signal will be sent to the host computer, and it can display temperature by VB program.Finally, set up a comprehensive monitoring test equipment of bearing skidding and temperature to test the feasibility of two mentioned measure methods. At the same time, the test device will be used to explore the impact of skidding on bearing temperature. Using o Ptical fiber sensor to measure cage actual rotation speed, the slip ratio will be calculated out. Use the radio temperature measuring device to measure the inner temperature, and integrate them tegether to monitor skidding and temperature of bearings in real time through VB. Analyzing the slip ratio and temperature, the compact of skidding on bearing temperature can be studied. The experiment verifies the feasibility of using fiber o Ptic sensors monitoring rolling bearings’ skidding and using wireless digital technology measuring inner temperature,and laid a solid foundation for their practical application.
