The Liquefied Gas transport vehicles are used for transport LPG, liquid ammonia, liquid propylene etc. These transport vehicles have been widely used in industry, agriculture, and civilian fields. The designing of light-weight Liquefied Gas Tanker can improve the efficiency of transportation, reduce the cost of transportation, also can save a lot of energy to protect the environment for human survival.On the basis of review of relevant literature, analysis the present situation of liquefied gas transport vehicle and different design methods of liquefied gas transport vehicle, combined with the actual project, introduced the fundamental structure and the basic design parameters of liquefied gas transport vehicles, analyzing and comparing the selection of Q345 R and Q370 R materials, using Q370 R can reduce the thickness 0.5mm and decrease the weight of the vehicle.Focuses on the welding of Q370 R, Through the welding procedure qualification test, To verify the feasibility of Q370 R welding materials and the correctness of the proposed the welding process. Compared the two design methods about normal design and stress analysis, using stress analysis calculation can reduce the thickness 0.5mm. That can decrease the weight of the vehicleOn the basis of theory on stress analysis, using the liquefied gas tanker propylene as the research object, based on Limit stress analysis method, Modeling and analysis of elliptical head, obtain the relationship between the displacement and load. According to the relationship between the UY directions of the maximum deformation position displacement and loads,To determine the limit load of structure according to the double tangent method,Take certain safety factor,and then determined the results. This can reduce the thickness 1~2mm.Establish the overall model, Analysis of four kinds of inertial force load. Evaluate the stress intensity for each condition. For use stress analysis can reduce the design thickness, To investigate the effects of partial reliability of stress under various working conditions of the conditions front and back saddle supports, Evaluation of various stress strength reliability of every result, the results meet the safety requirements. For openings, established local modeling, calculate the stress and assess the maximum stress. Control the local stress about the hole in the internal pressure. And according to the stress distribution and the maximum stress value, optimizing the structure of local design.The tank adopts 370 R material,and using the design method of stress analysis, can achieve the purpose of reducing the quality about 980 kg of liquefied gas carrier. Through the prototype test and from the vehicle manufacturing cost, fuel transportation quantity, quality and other aspects of the transport medium to economic analysis, use Q370 R material and the method of analysis to design and manufacture of liquefied gas tanker can meet the requirements of safety and improve the transportation vehicle of the economic benefits and market competitiveness.
