As the main load-carrying and lateral force resistant member,the deformation performance of Special-shaped RC shear wall effects greatly on the seismic behavior of the whole structure. The performance-based seismic design method in China’s current seismic code does not carry out the quantitative criteria of deformation properties for Special-shaped RC shear wall so far.Therefore,the performance states of Special-shaped RC shear wall under earthquake cannot be evaluated properly.The high-rise building institute of SCUT carrys out rectangular section shear wall deformation indexs by years of hard research.But the seismic behavior between Special-shaped and rectangular section shear wall is different,Therefore,it is necessary to make a research on Special-shaped shear wall.This paper mainly studies the deformation performance index limits of L-shaped shear wall.The main contents include following aspects:(1)Summarizes the difference between China and United States on performance-based seismic design method as well as the seismic performance research results of L-shaped RC shear wall at home and abroad.Collects domestic and foreign scholar about L-shaped RCshear wall test data.Using finite element software ABAQUS to simulate several specimens,and compare with the test results.Verifying the rationality of the finite element model and its parameters.(2)Discuss the classification of the failure modes of L-shaped RC shear wall.According to the failure mechanism of L-shaped shear wall and finite element analysis results,propose a classification method based on finite element failure pattern and proved feasible.On this basis, composite analyze the experimental data of 51 L-shaped shear wall and failure pattern results of 216 design component that use the above mentioned method to identify,bring up to use shear-span ratio,flexure sheat ratio and longitudinal reforcement ratio as parameters to classify the failure modes of L-shaped shear wall,and provide detailed classification.(3)With the reference of domestic and foreign documents,six failure states are given to describe damage state of L-shaped shear wall,namely,intactness,slightly broken,light medium broken,medium broken,severe broken and invalid.And adopt steel and concrete strain to divide each performance state base on its damage degree description.(4)By changing shear-span ratio, axial compression ratio, longitudinal reinforcement ratio,stirrup ratio,flexure shear ratio etc,216 L-shaped RC shear wall are designed,which had been numberically simulated by ABAQUS to Analyze the influence of the above parameters on its deformation performance.And use MATLAB to study the correlation between the above factors and 6 performance indicators.Finally,fiting calculation equations of 6 performance indicators under different failure modes by stepwise regression analysis.And propose a deformation limit table of L-shaped shear wall corresponding to 6 performance levels with statistic analysis,which lay the foundation for engineering application.
