Shale sintered insulation block is a kind of new energy-saving sintered wall materials that shale is the main raw material and coal gangue, fly ash and other industrial waste are admixture, which meets the 65% energy saving goal requirements of building periphery structure in our country.its characteristics such as light weight, low price, environmental protection, great insulation effect, etc overcome the disadvantages of traditional sintered brick and show the broad market prospect. At present, the domestic and foreign research on shale sintered insulation blocks is mainly aimed at the research of material properties and the development of manufacturing technology, but the seismic performance of the wall composed of such blocks has not been deeply explored. On the basis of the experimental research, this paper utilized ABAQUS finite element simulation analysis and experimental numerical fitting calculation to conduct a comprehensive study on the seismic performance and shear capacity of the masonry load-bearing wall of Shale sintered insulation block.(1)For the 29 hole Shale sintered insulation block, the compressive and shear performance test of the masonry were conducted to get the basic mechanics performance index of the masonry, then the expression of the compressive strength and shear strength, the normalized stress-strain relation, the calculation formula for the modulus of elasticity and the poisson's ratio values suggested were fit out on the basis of test results of the masonry.(2)On the basis of the low-cycle repeated load test of the 10 pieces of full-size shale sintered insulation block wall, the failure patterns and failure characteristics, the load-displacement relationship, the hysteretic curve and the skeleton curve of the wall under different structural forms and factors were analyzed to explore the seismic performance and shear capacity of this kind of wall.(3)According to the test results of basic mechanical properties of the masonry and seismic performance of the wall that were composed of the shale sintered insulation block, the integral finite element model of this kind of wall was established from the aspects of structural form, constitutive relation, load scheme, boundary condition, contact properties, unit division and output definition.(4)Comparing the failure patterns and failure characteristics, the load-displacement relationship, the hysteretic curve and the skeleton curve of four different wall specimens and wall models in structural forms, the feasibility of the integrated finite element model in studying seismic performance of the shale sintered insulation block wall was verified.(5)Considering the influence of the horizontal cast-in-situ band and core column, based on the test and finite element simulation results of the wall, this article has analysed the influences of different structural factors and forms(vertical compressive stress, aspect ratio, etc)and factors(the mouth of the cave, constructional column and horizontal castin-situ belt, etc)on aseismic performance index(ultimate shear bearing capacity, stiffness degradation, ductility, energy dissipation and collapse resistance performance etc)by conducting the numerical simulation calculation.(6)According to the wall test and finite element simulation results in this paper, the factors affecting the seismic shear capacity of the shale sintered insulation block wall were analyzed.Based on the shear theory of masonry, the formula for calculating the seismic shear capacity of the shale sintered insulation block wall was proposed. The reliability of the proposed formula and the feasibility of finite element analysis are verified by comparing the calculated value with the experimental value.
