Electric vehicle(EV) is an important way to solve the global energy crisis and to protect the global environment. While solving the energy crisis and environmental problems, large-scale application of EVs will also bring new problems. However, research tools of various electric vehicle problems are rare.This paper does a lot of research for various players including the electric vehicles, the government, the power grid, electric vehicle owners and charging station operators, parking lot operators and other players involved in electric vehicle operation. An electric vehicle operation system(EVOS) based on multi-agent system(MAS) was built through designing a kind of agent for each player for studying electric vehicle problems. The system fully complies with the FIPA specifications.Then, Unified Modeling Language(UML) was used to design the EVOS, and we use Java Agent Development Framework(JADE) implement the design of EVOS.Finally, we have used EVOS do some research on the load characteristics of electric taxis. We found that EVOS have great advantages by comparing other articles that study the same problem using traditional method.
