The electric control system of wind turbine have achieved the control of wind turbines in automatic start-up and shutdown, stationary grid-connected, two-speeds transforming, automatic butt, data monitoring and processing, fault recording and automatic protection etc. In view of high failure rate, this paper carries out research on fault diagnosis of the electric control system of wind turbine, combining closely the development of wind power and business production requirements.The main controller is the core of the electric control system of wind turbine. Through all kinds of sensors to monitor the operation parameters of electric power network, weather and wind turbine, and make all kinds of control directives to achieve automatic start-up and shutdown, manual and automatic switching without disturbance, the grid generator without disturbance in speed range, automatic yaw control(not deviating from the direction of- 10 DEG), engine room tensional cable and automatic control of variable pitch and variable speed, automatic dehumidification heating, cooling in wind turbine, automatic operation control of hydraulic system and operation fault monitoring.This paper mainly analyses the fault diagnosis of variable pitch control in electrical control system of wind turbine generators. It summarizes the typical faults of generators, malfunction analysis and checking methods, discusses the method of fault analysis. And vibration signal analysis is used to engineering practice successfully.Based on the data provided by Hebei construction investment new energy Co., Ltd. Laiyuan "Dong Tuan Bao wind farm. Through comparison analysis of power ratio and pitch angle under normal and fault circumstances, and comparing separately time domain analysis method, frequency domain analysis method that is Wavelet Analysis, time-frequency analysis that is adaptive Kurtosis analysis. On the MATLAB platform, combining with the above advanced control methods, we get the graphics of power ratio and pitch angle, by comparing the index. Time-frequency analysis method is the most effective in the fault diagnosis of variable pitch control in electrical control system of Wind Turbine Generators. At the same time, It verifies that for vibration signal of rotating parts in electric control system of generators is cyclical and non-stationary. Time domain analysis method or frequency domain analysis method is difficult to obtain the ideal effect. Time-frequency analysis method is the most effective method. The time-frequency analysis method is suitable for the analysis of no stationary signal. It not only shows the signal frequency and instantaneous frequencies of the signals, but also shows that the distribution of signal energy in time and frequency.
