In recent years, the loads and the volume of the wind turbines increase with its installed capacity and power, which require more on safe and stable operation. The performance of the spindle bearings has a direct impact on transfer efficiency and maintenance cost of the main transmission chain. It is especially important for wind power plants to find the fault of the spindle bearings and take measures to repair it as early as possible. So the failure mode analysis has great significance which can greatly reduce maintenance costs and profit loss during the downtime. What’s more, it can also contribute to the safe operation.This article will insight into wind turbines bearing of main shaft bearing type, structure, load characteristics and the scope of work, for bearing typical types, mechanism, mode and influencing factors of wind power analysis; To master the formation of the wind turbine bearings in operation in the process of failure mechanism and development model. Analysis of main components (gears, bearings, etc.) of a typical fault type, fault mechanism and development model,make an organized reliability analysis of fault and structure.Research units main bearing vibration amplitude range and its relationship with the wind, to obtain the bearing vibration signals were collected (including focusing on the main bearing and direct drive unit bearing) for main bearing vibration signal in time domain features and spectrum feature extraction, and to observe its cepstrum and envelope, put forward fault eigenvalue extraction new method with the combination of fault data.Using the Labview software development platform designed and developed bearing fault database and bearing fault diagnosis system. Implement quickly to view, search and screening of bearing failure data. Set the time domain analysis, frequency domain analysis and time-frequency analysis as one of the integrated fault diagnosis system, can realize the load signal, signal analysis and fault data query, and other functions.
