Coal gangue is the largest industrial waste in our country. The annually emission of coal gangue is 300 million ton which is one quarter of the total industrial waste, and it is increasing every year. A large quantity of coal gangue piles encroach on land not only destroy the ecological environment, but also easy to cause geological disasters. Leaching content from coal gangue pollutes water, and harmful gases from coal gangue spontaneous pollute the environment and affect the health of human body. On the one hand, as a new round of building 65% energy saving design standard in the national starts marketing implementation and building fire safety performance is more and more strict, organic thermal insulation material will be a lot of use restrictions due to the defects on fireproof performance and inorganic fireproof thermal insulation material substitution is in desperate need.Using coal gangue to make brick is one of the effective ways to make the competitive utilization of coal gangue come true, and the application is more mature. However used for preparing exterior wall thermal insulation foam material was still in its infancy. Due to the thermal insulation and fireproof performance of the foam material is excellent, it can be prepared to building external wall thermal insulation and realize building to develop in the direction of green, low consumption. The foam material’s market demand is huge and it has broad prospect of application.At present, the main raw material study on inorganic insulation materials is on expanded perlite and mineral wool, and it has obtained certain results in domestic. But for coal gangue, the study idea is mainly on clayey coal gangue, the sandstone coal gangue which is produced in Liaoning Chaoyang district is few for its low plasticity and it’s difficult to form. Restricted it’s commodities and resource recovery utilization.Base on the foam mechanism theoretical analysis of pore and experimental research, using the sandstone coal gangue as the main raw material and blending polishing tile waste, a new method of rationally using sandstone coal gangue to increase its plasticity and make the qualified product is found. This experiment adopts optimization of grain size distribution, ageing, adding inorganic plasticizer to improve coal gangue mud plasticity; Select bulk density, compressive strength and thermal conductivity as indicators, by mixing different amount of polishing tile waste as ingredient to analysis the impact of the material on the aforementioned indicators, to determine optimal mixing proportion with the maximum use of sandstone coal gangue on the basis of ensure the quality of sintered products; Base on the preliminary test and theoretical analysis, select water glass as binder and SiC, MgO as composite pore former and borax as flux, and design orthogonal test to determine the appropriate amount of additive; Choose preheating temperature, preheating time, sintering temperature and holding time as four main factors which have great effect on the sintering procedure to make the sintering program optimization. The optimum condition is: preheating temperature at 400℃, preheating time is 20min, sintering temperature at 1150℃, holding time is 20min. The quality of the sintered products which is roasted under the above condition meet the requirement.
