With the rapid development of power electronic technology and microprocessors technology, AC variable-frequency control technology has also made a breakthrough. However, the application of the AC variable-frequency control system in the occasion of high voltage and high power was restricted to the maximum voltage and current of the power electronic devices. Besides, with the rapid development of FPGA devices, complex control algorithm could be realized with a FPGA chip that has the advantages of high processing speed, good reliability and reconfiguration and has been widely used in recent years.Thus, the thesis research on vector control system based on three-level inverter using FPGA has important practical significance.The thesis focuses on the rotor field oriented control based on the diode-clamped three-level inverter. Firstly,the diode-clamped three-level inverter topology has been analysised deeply; the asynchronous motors’ mathematical model under two-phase stationary coordinate and rotating coordinate, based on the mathematical model under three-phase stationary coordinate is discussed in this thesis and also introduces the basic principles of the rotor field oriented control and the basic method of the PWM algorithm.Secondly, based on the analysis of the traditional ideal SPWM and the SPWM added dead zone, a novel SPWM modulation method is improved. The improved No-Dead-Zone SPWM eliminates the effect of dead zone on output waveform.and improves the output accuracy of inverter and bus voltage utilization. Furthermore, a three-level SVPWM algorithm based on the two-level SVPWM algorithm is improved, and because of the effert of the dead zone, the SVPWM also introduces in this thesis. The correctness of this novel No-Dead-Zone SPWM and No-Dead-Zone SVPWM method have been verified through simulated analysis and experiments.Finally, the simulation model of vector control system under the Matlab/Simulink is established. The simulation results show that the control system has good dynamic response and steady-state accuracy.And the hardware and software of the control system based on EP4CE10E22C8 have been designed.No-load and load mutations experimental study has carried on in the experimental platform.The experimental results shows the system has good dynamic and static performance, which proved that system has high practical value.
