With the fast development of economy, the rate of Chinese urbanization increased rapidly. The demand of urban fields became increasingly urgent. City space extended to the high and underground space. Thus, the geotechnical engineering, represented by pit engineering, became extremely important. On base of ensuring feasibility and safety, it was every geotechnical worker’s target on how to improve construction speed and to lower the cost. From 1960 s, SMW technology was extensively used and had obtained certain achievement in Japan. In 1990 s, this technology was introduced from Japan to Shanghai and Tianjin. Many experts and scholars began to study SMW technology localization.Because of less project loads, lacking design and construction experience and advanced equipment, the technology was not largely promoted. However, SMW had a design and construction standard since the Technical Specification for Soil Mixed Wall was issued and implemented in 2010, which provided advantages for mass usage. The paper studied the cement soil hardening mechanism. By analyzing the common working conditions between cement soil and H-steel, the paper put forward a suggestion that the cement soil intensity should be counted into the integral intensity.According to the contrastive analysis between MIDAS/GTS finite element modeling data and foundation ditch monitoring results, it proved that MIDAS/GTS can analysis the foundation ditch deformation correctly. It also proved that cement soil contributed to the integral intensity of supporting structure.
