There is a large number of clay in Kazuo County, can be used for the production of purple clay appliances and construction materials. The sintered porous insulating brick is a commonly used building insulation materials, has good seismic performance, energy efficient, insulate, excellent sound insulation performance, high construction efficiency advantages. Make the clay from Kazuo as the main raw material, add other industrial waste to produce sintered porous insulation bricks could promote local economic development and comprehensive utilization of a variety of industrial waste has great social significance and environmental value. In this paper, we selected two kinds of clay from Kazuo County, studied on the sintering properties of them at first, according to the results, make the two clay as the main raw material, adding fly ash and glass powder via orthogonal experiments, the best ratio of raw materials and sintering temperature was determined, fired out of the sintered porous insulation bricks with excellent performance. Its compressive strength, porosity and thermal conductivity coefficient were tested. Finally, according to three different pore-forming mechanisms, selected three kinds of pore-forming agents:vinegar residue, coal powder and toner, discussed the impact of different pore-forming agents on product performance. The experimental results showed that:(1) The sintering temperature of Qingshi soil and Laoyemiao soil from Kazuo County both are 1050℃, when the clay particle size is above 100 mesh, clay has good sintering properties.(2) The greatest factor impact on performance of porous brick is the sintering temperature, followed by the addition amount of fly ash, finally, the glass frit addition amount According to the analysis of orthogonal test and test data we got the best raw material ratio (w%):clay 70%, fly ash20%, glass powder10% and the best sintering temperature:Qingshi soil porous brick 1140℃, Laoyemiao soil porous brick 1130℃.(3) For this paper, pulverized coal is the preferred pore-forming agent. The Laoyemiao soil porous brick sintered under 1030℃(w%):Clay 70%, fly ash20%, glass powder10% doped with 5% pulverized coal could increase the porosity, reduce the thermal conductivity, and improve the insulation property of the porous brick.
