Subgrade bearing capacity is the basis for the foundation design. Due to the complexity of geotechnical engineering, the deformation characteristics of foundation, the true stress state and changing law of each point in the foundation are always the famous and difficult problems in geotechnical engineering.At present, our country foundation design specification is given based on shear strength index of foundation bearing capacity calculation formula, but due to the disturbance of soil, indoor test of shear strength parameters c and phi and cannot reflect the nature of the soil in situ. At the same time, for the foundation soil, if only considering its ultimate bearing capacity, may cause a large settlement, and therefore must also meet the requirements of the settlement.Based on the above problems, this paper is based on the settlement and safety factor of two control conditions, to evaluate the bearing capacity of the foundation, the research content and results are as follows:(1) This paper introduces the failure criterion of soil, and briefly introduces the commonly used constitutive model of soil;(2) The establishment of a Duncan-Chang model based on the hierarchical summation method of settlement calculation model;(3) Based on Duncan Chang model by genetic algorithm model parameter inversion examples of plate load test, and the conversion formulas are commonly used in engineering and in-situ soil shear strength parameters c and phi value;(4) The bearing capacity of the foundation is determined by Duncan-Chang settlement calculation model, and the bearing capacity is calculated by the standard method. The safety factor of the foundation bearing capacity is determined by the standard method and the settlement control method, and the basis for the engineering practice is provided.
