With the more and more rapid progress of urban construction and development, the conflicts between human beings and nature become increasingly intensified. In pursuit of immediate interests, people recklessly exploit natural resources and wantonly destroy ecosystems.Ecological balance has been damaged, and ecological chain has been broken. When the nature cannot withstand the consequences of such damage, ultimately, it will express the pain by making the environmental suitability for human settlements extremely worsen.Recently, in order to improve the living environment and make a rational use of land resources, people have developed a new type of landscape-productive landscape. Productive landscape is a type of landscape that is intended to get back to the origin, because the original point for both domestic and international landscape is agricultural production. Ebenezer Howard’s theory of garden city in the late 19th century has shown signs of the clues to productive landscape. Viljoen A. defined such a landscape, which both has some landscape benefits and shows some significant production, for the first time in 2005. So far, there have been a growing number of experts and scholars devoting into the research of productive landscape. Moreover, productive landscape has been widely applied various types of construction. However, many of which simply followed the trend of the landscape design; although they demonstrated the basic appearance of productive landscape, the spirit of productive landscape was not absorbed. In addition, some designs only collected the uppermost output of productive landscape but did not maximize the use of the output and interests of productive landscape. Such designs did not make full use of the values of productive landscape despite of the demonstration of some certain agricultural landscape benefits. Some other designs used productive landscape in an overly ideal way such that its negative influences were ignored, resulting in inconvenience in people’s life or aggregated environmental burden. Therefore, research intended to exploit the full values of productive landscape, utilize certain types of productive landscape under certain environment, and search the balance between environmental protection and productive landscape exploitation is substantially meaningful and valuable for the future application and study of productive landscape.By analyzing and summarizing the literature relevant to the plan and design of productive landscape and wetland parks, and investigating the definition, classification, value, and current development of productive landscape, the definition and features of wetland parks, and the space construction of farmland-wetland parks, combined with case studies and concluded:(1) In the choice of using production landscapes to local conditions, you should choose a local cultural characteristics, easy to plant and easy to raise production landscape.(2) To planning a wetland park with productive landscpe should consider the ecology agriculture and tourism.(3) when create the space of wetland park with productive landscape,we should protect the original terrain, build the spatial pattern, find the agricultural theme and reconstructure the revetment form. And using them as guidance, the author completed the plan and design for the wetland park of Nanchong Jiangling dam, and proposed creative methods for utilizing productive landscape, building energy flow system by combining various types of productive landscape, during the process of planning and designing. Such a method can maximize the use of the output of productive landscape, as well as minimize the consumption of resources.
