Steel structure, with the advantages of less environmental pollution, low energy consumption, high material recycling efficiency and good seismic performance, is the representative of the green, energy-saving, environmental protection building, which is leading an extremely virtual role in the era that environmental problems have been becoming more and more serious.In steel structure system, the joint, connecting a component with another, as the key for the steel structure frame, is a top priority in the steel structure design. This thesis studies the new joint with extend reinforce rings which is based on the theory of shift-away of plastic hinge. The new joint is to insert the beam between upper and lower reinforcement ring plate contacted with the square steel tube column. Welding steel beam and steel column, steel beam and reinforces ring plate, square steel tube column and reinforcement ring plate welding respectively.Based on the existing tests, this dissertation adapts the finite element analysis software ABAQUS to simulate and calculate the experiment patterns and compare the result to verify the reliability of the finite element model. Furthermore, changing the parameters of joint computing to analyze the influence of different parameters on the stress nephogram, hysteresis curves, skeleton curves, stress curves and so on. On this basis, the author presents a practical proposal of enhancing the structure of the link points.The results are as follows:(1) Based on loading at the columns, the dissertation calculates the pattern with loading at beam of joints. The result shows that when the columns of joints are stiff enough without damage, the influence loaded at column or bean is rare and can be neglected.(2) The thickness of plate of reinforcement ring has an extraordinary influence on the bearing capacity of node and hysteretic performance. However, external width may influence the stress distribution area and high stress concentration zone of reinforcement plate. The angle may mainly influence external plate but not column and beam. The bottom flange width may influence welding line of external ring.(3) There is a partial failure of buckling when wield to thickness ratio is over 18 with reduce of bearing capacity of components. The columns may have shear failure and buckling failure when the ratio of axial compression stress to strength is over 0.3.(4) The ratio of axial compression stress to strength should be reduced below 0.3 in case of shear failure of columns; the ratio of wield to thickness ratio should be designed below 18 in case of local buckling failure. When td/tf≈1.0 and td/tc≈0.8(thickness of plate of external ring); Wd/D≈0.33(external width of reinforcement rings);b/Bf≈0.33(angle of flange of reinforcement rings)(5) Firstly, the external reinforcement ring plate should be welded to the fix place of the column when being constructed; Then inserting beam into the external reinforcement ring plate. Meanwhile, the welding quality of the whole node should be ensured to meet standard requirements.
