Intersections are important nodes in transport network, and right of way of most intersections mainly controlled by traffic lights. Therefore, the choice of lights is essential for traffic safety. In recent years, the application of countdown lights improve traffic efficiency, and traffic safety has also been affected, especially in the end of green countdown time and yellow time security incidents caused by "grab time " is numerous. Based on the above background this papers used video method, real car collection of physiological data, simulation tests and other methods to study the driver’s behavior and physiological under countdown signal conditions.Using video recording method, the behavior data of the professional and non-professional drivers through the countdown and non-countdown intersection was collected, a comparative analysis of the impact of countdown signal on drivers’ behavior was carried, and the model and analysis of affecting driver behavior selection factors in intersection was built using logit models.A professional and non-professional drivers’ driving physiological data was collected in the actual driving process in countdown and non-countdown intersections using BIOLAB system. A cross-comparison analysis was carried on physiological indicators of the drivers’ heart rate, galvanic skin and cardiac impedance, before, during and after the professional and non-professional drivers through the countdown and non-countdown intersection, at the same time driver’s HRV were analyzed using time domain and frequency domain methods. The influence of countdown signal on driver’s physiological indicators was found.Using the radar device, the vehicle data at the countdown intersections were gotten. Through data processing, the speed, the countdown time remaining from the stop line were discovered to have constraint effect on the driver’s behavior, and a rush green light model was established. Then the rush green light model was classified and carried out further analysis.Through the analysis of mathematical principles of rush green behavior, a determine model of the rush green behavior was established. Rushing green behavior in countdown intersections under different conditions was simulated and verified using UC-winRoad software.
