With the rapid development of urbanization, major cities in China are faced with the urban diseases problem, such as severe traffic congestion, serious environmental pollution and scarce energy resources. At the same time, as the city residents’living standard gradually improve, the existing public transport cannot meet the demand of passenger’s travel, so that it is unable to attract private car passengers transfer their travel modal, then the public transport attraction rate can’t improve. As a result, the customized bus as a new kind of public transportation way rapid rise in the major cities in the country. Customized bus transit network design is the main part of customized bus system, the rationality and the balance of its planning is playing an important role in the whole operation process of customized bus. Therefore, this paper studies customized bus transit network design methods, in order to form a reasonable and balanced customized bus transit network, which is of great significance to maximize the passenger service, effectively attract private owners, relieve urban diseases problem.At first, this paper introduces the concept of customized bus and the organization structure of customized bus system, and it compares the customized bus and the traditional bus to illustrate the advantages of the customized bus service. It also expounds the challenges of the customized bus at this stage, and it puts forward the related principles of customized bus transit network design. Secondly, according to the characteristics of the customized bus, this paper studies and determines the common method of customized bus transit network design, including customized bus travel demands analysis, traffic districts division, generating the initial path set, setting up the route selection model, the evaluation of the route network scheme, etc. Finally, the customized bus transit network design is proposed in this article is verified by the example of the city.According to the characteristics of customized bus travel demands and the operation purpose of customized bus, this paper puts forward the traffic districts division method based on the hierarchical clustering method. Considering operating costs and social benefits, it establishes the route operation standard model with minimizing the linear weighted sum of the cost of operation, environment and congestion. This paper processes the travel demand data by using the software of XGeocoding and COORD, and layouts the route network based on MATLAB. Based on the collected fifteen thousand passenger travel demand data, it obtains the city’s customized bus network scheme utilizing the planning method in the paper, and compares with present situation of the city to illustrate the feasibility and rationality of the method. The conclusion shows that this method can effectively solve the problem of customized bus transit network design, and this method has certain guiding significance in practical application. |
