In order to improve the comfort and convenience of the environment, the establishment of urban environmental information systems is more important. Urban signage system as a medium for the transmission of information, in order to improve people life and convey information. This paper studies the urban public space, pedestrian-oriented identification system.Taking Beijing city level three kinds of public space as a research object, through the space outside the guide identifies the field investigation, and do in-depth case studies, the goal is to explore different types of public space, the guide identifies the main types of characteristics and mode; and analyzing the role of different types of identity and influence in a different space. Beijing to explore the advantages and problems of public space oriented identification system, attempts to plan the development of future space oriented identification systems inspire.First, the author of the guide identifies the Beijing Xidan subway station were investigated from several aspects of the type of system-oriented logo, layout, quantity and content identification cards and other public space for urban pedestrian-oriented logo design study. Survey results show that, first, identify the direction of the main types of underground space oriented identification identity; second, Xidan subway station mainly the lack of content-oriented information (azimuth lack of information, lack of information on the relative distance, iconic buildings such as lack of information); third, the guide identifies the same set additional space, there is a shortage in the number of facilities space settings, the facility set up properly and other issues.Thereafter Shichahai tourist area of Beijing’s Sanlitun and the Pacific in the investigation and analysis. According to set up and use, and found the guide identifies the main tourist areas Shichahai guide to tourist attractions and public service facilities; identify the presence of the status quo-oriented information Mistakes are not standardized, the position unreasonable distribution facilities monomer design is unreasonable, not post-maintenance strict and other issues; Sanlitun Pacific where wayfinding is a relatively perfect commercial space oriented identification cases, have reasonable logo design and standardization of map labels and personalized creative identity for pedestrians to provide a comfortable shopping environment and comfortable experience of space, of course, in the Pacific-oriented logo also fly in the ointment, such as duplicate identities more, the lack of orientation information, some signage and other minor details. Finally, underground space, space travel guide preparation of the information and a lack of commercial space presence systematic guide monomer facilities and the lack of standardization of space to set unreasonable, the paper proposes hierarchically divided identification information, follow the area identification information integrity, systemic and general principle; to guide monomer facility design space environment, urban culture and standards and other factors to consider; uphold coverage, adaptability and the principle of continuity of identification guide rational distribution and other recommendations. This study is mainly an attempt by systematic study, a detailed quantitative analysis, and improve pedestrian-oriented public space identity set foot public space oriented identification system for the current and future period of time to provide an improved direction.
