21st century is the age of human comprehensive into the Marine economy, 15 years of the 21 st century as the amphibious transportation rally point and hub port into the development of the "golden period". Port throughput in 2003 in China amounted to 2.6 billion tons, has amounted to 7.2 billion tons in 2010, 2015 years ago, the national port throughput volume has reached 8.6 billion tons in the third quarter. Port need to constantly development requires constant construction, port construction engineers of large comprehensive transportation infrastructure construction projects, the port construction project has the characteristics of huge one-time investment, long construction cycle. In port yard lighting project is also one important component project, port lighting as the necessary condition of port safety production is to ensure that the port production and vessels, vehicles, personnel at night and at night the weather bad time to traffic safety is the most important facilities. Port night production of lighting demand is very important, especially in ports in the northern part of China, annual 5-10 month daily night lighting needs about 10 hours, and every other month during night time lighting need to reach 14-15 hours, yard lighting engineering therefore need long time efficient operation, annual operating cost in the yard lighting electricity consumption is a huge number.Based on electric energy or a large part comes from coal-fired power plants in China, if we can adopt high efficiency and energy saving lighting source and lighting control mode can get enough safety production requirements of lighting, and thus to minimize power consumption and, in turn, reduce the emissions of air pollutants in thermal power plant, in order to achieve the purpose of the green environmental protection. With the progress of related port technology, as well as the national energy conservation and emissions reduction increased, port of energy conservation and emissions reduction task is also increasing. Ministry of transport is also very clear request for technical transformation of existing ports, through to the high efficiency, low energy equipment updated, so as to improve the overall technical level of equipment operation, reduce energy consumption and waste of resources. Was reported in 2012 in China’s coastal ports before installation of the light source is generally low power factor, energy consumption and droop, and color rendering index lower problems, at the same time control technology lag behind. When we were in port lighting equipment technical innovation, both need to meet the demand of production use, and can reach the purpose of energy conservation and environmental protection is to explore and research, it is necessary to carefully considering the engineering construction at the same time, combining with the operating cost, the cost of from all the aspects of economy, technical and applicability considering lighting engineering and optimization scheme.This paper first reviews the domestic port yard lighting technology and development status of lighting light source, the gradual development of lighting source and lighting technology research is introduced, then according to the various lighting source applicability for different scenarios, starting from the practical engineering application, all kinds of lighting source economy and applicability are analyzed. Lighting for port engineering project in the application of various method of lighting, lighting, lighting source and lighting control is introduced, and according to the actual lighting engineering case solutions to evaluating and analyzing economic aspects of energy saving for the significance of environmental protection, can provide some decision support for the project construction users, to avoid the economic loss caused by decision-making errors and waste of resources, and to achieve scientific and effective management of port lighting engineering projects, ensure the virtuous development of the port construction project operation, has a certain practical significance and reference value.
