Lighting system is an important and indispensable auxiliary production system insubstation。It make sure the substation operation safety and stable.At the same time, thelighting effects has a direct effect on the staff’s working efficiency and the physical andmental health. Substation lighting system relates to different places indoor and out door.Compared with other building and place, substation lighting requirement has its owncharacteristics. According to the data from the electric power production department,thesubstation lighting effect is not ideal.The improper selection of lamps,the insufficients oflamp brightness, attenuation of light, the short life of the bulb are common problems insubstation lighting system. This paper analyzes the characteristics of substation lightingsystem. Compares the different light sources, lighting equipment in substation.And theintelligent control for substation lighting system、 using solar PV lighting is alsodiscussed.Based on the present situation of220kV DouMen substation lighting system,according to 《GB50034-2004standard for lighting design of buildings》、《DLT5390-2007Lighting technical code for designing fossil fuel power plants an substation》, proposed aimprove design of lighting system in different areas.And using Dialux software simulatedlighting design.The paper has summarized experiences that may contribute to subsequentprojects, and expounded on substations green lighting system design, as well as latermaintenance and performance that differ from conventional substations. Based on the design,analyses, and lighting facility allocation of220kV Doumen Substation lighting system,provide reference for substation lighting system design.
