Study On The Design And Development Trend Of China Elderly’s Smart White Goods

With the rapid development of economy, it has driven the continuous development of science and technology. In the digital and smart era. the development of smart home products has become a hot topic of society. In fact, China’s population is aging at unprecedented levels. The aging populations in China have brought extensive influence on the market of elderly "s smart home products, which has a huge potential market of elderly’s smart home. Therefore, the development of elderly’s smart home products should be worth paying more attention to. However, there are few smart home products for the elderly in home automation market. So it seems that studying on the core design idea and the development trend of China elderly’s smart home products is necessary.In the paper, it uses the theory of computer network technology, ergonomics, design psychology and the related theories, industrial design theory, as well as uses the method of literature research, investigation method, practice research to analysis and study. Moreover, research focus on the design of smart home products especially of elderly’s smart White goods products. The main research topics are as follows.Firstly, product intelligence is an important consideration in the design of the elderly’s smart home products. As people approach old age, their physiological function gradually decline, old people’s hands and feet are insensitive, and their brains tend to deteriorate. Smart white goods is an important tool to assist the elderly for living.Secondly, interaction design is an essential part of elderly’s smart home products design. Even though the development of interaction design is becoming more and more mature, interaction design of the elderly smart home products is still in the start stage. When it comes to interaction design of the elderly, it only represents in boring older people model of the few smart phone.Thirdly, the cost control of smart home products is also drawing closer attention. Thrift is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation, so most of the elderly is in compliance with this virtue. Owing to expensive price of smart home products, the elderly is extremely unwilling to use these smart products which resulting in the too low popularity of smart home products for the old.Finally, there is a certain gap between real smart and recent smart. It means that the development trend of smart home products is very challenging, but has much further improvement space.
