Research On The Urban Green Land System Planning In Xiningin

Building green land has become one of the important considerations in the process of urbanization. It plays a very important role in improving urban ecological environment, satisfying the need of amusement and recreation for residents, shaping the urban landscape, beautifying the environment and preventing natural disasters, etc.Xining, located in Qinghai Province, is one of the cities in China with high altitude above sea level. Climate in this area is semi-arid with around 380 mm annual rainfall in most parts of the area. With its difficult terrain and lack of rain through the year, it requires more care to build the green land system in Xining including more rigorous selection of vegetations to be adopted. However, there are still some shortcomings in the existing green space system which affects the continuous improving of the ecological environment and the urbanization Xining in a sustainable way.A proper and scientific green land system speaks for the city as it highlights the cultural and management level of a city. There are rigorous requirements for building a green land system in terms of location planning, vegetation selection and daily maintenance and management etc. Of course, for influence of various factors, there are areas to be improved in Xining’s green land system. Due to the above, to study the current status of green land system in Xining, is of many significances.This paper firstly introduces the basic situation of Xining and the status of its green land, analyzes the theoretical and technical problems in Xining’s green land system planning and then explores key areas as to improve the Xining’s green land system through planning. This paper may serve as a reference for achieving better social economic benefits through building proper green landing system in Xining’s urbanization process, and it also provides some ideas or thoughts in building green land system in other areas of the country.
