In the view of various situations in distribution network, as well as difficutl in fault location, this paper studied the use of fault recorder ranging approach. Ranging fault recorder function is generally based on the amount of current changes in line voltage failure, after a fault distance location of the fault, as a line inspection and troubleshooting basis. Because the system fault type and fault situation is more complicated, the results likely to be complex ranging impact of the actual situation.Based on the review of a large number of references, a brief introduction of fault location line model, the existing fault location algorithm is summarized, and a simple analysis of the impact of distributed power distribution network, mainly to study the photovoltaic power generation output characteristics contribute to the establishment of a model, and uses the opportunity to contribute to the uncertainty of constraint programming, focusing on the genetic algorithm with elitist strategy, using a segmented encoding and solve the model. Although the simulation is not carried out, but in principle a clear definition has practical value.
