Precision cylindrical parts in plays an important role in the field of precision engineering, is widely used in high quality bearings, energy mechanical and defense equipments. At present, the cylinder parts are mainly processed by center less grinding, however, it is difficult to obtain a higher quality and high consistency with traditional processing, so cylindrical parts are limited used in high-end equipments.So to solve the defects of the traditional processing method, The method of double-sided lapping is proposed in this paper. It can achieve ultra-precision by controlling of cylinder parts rotation, at the same time we can ensure the lapping equiprobability of each cylinder parts by the principle of homogenization in error. So it not only guarantees of the processing efficiency and also can achieve the cylinder parts high precision and high consistency processing.The lapping trace has important meaning to improve the processing precision. Motion model was established by researching the relationship among the plate, roller and planetary wheel in this paper. And the trace equation is set up by using the coordinate transformation, then simulate the distribution of trace by using of MATLAB, it is found that when wp=40-65rpm, m<-1,-0.3<m<0.3,0.3<m<1,-1<m<-0.3,Rp=100-140 mm, the trace curves of lapping are dense and uniform. The ADAMS were be used for establishing the dynamic model of cylindrical parts, analyzing effects of process parameters on distribution of grinding trace. Through the simulation analysis of MATLAB and ADAMS, originality set up the evaluation method that judge the uniformity of cylindrical roller surface. From that we preliminary determine the range of critical process parameters which wp=45、60 rpm、m=-5、 m=-0.5、m=5,Rp=125mm,F=1-3N.The grinding process parameters (grinding speed, abrasive, drive-ratio) for process of cylindrical parts are optimized through experiment. Through the analysis from experiment, finding the process parameters which drive-ratio, grinding speed and abrasive have key influence on the cylinder parts precision processing It is found that the trace curves of lapping are dense and uniform when drive-ratio is -5,1.5N/part of loading,45rpm of grinding speed, 4000# of abrasive and 25% of concentration.Can realize the goal that the degree of roundness,straightness and parallel are below 1 um, is also the best lapping parameter combination in this paper’ optimization...
