The Research Into The Application Of Regional Culture In Space Environmental Design Of The High-speed Rail Stations

As a symbolic public place in the local area, the space environment of high-speed rail stations must be clearly distinctive from other public buildings. On the other hand, there must be some features to show the appearance of the whole city. However, with the internationalization of modernism architecture, buildings of the same pattern spring up all over China, making cities losing its own characteristics and becoming the victim of modern architecture.Therefore, it is very necessary to consider how to reflect the regional characteristics, and to arouse people’s memory for the local and traditional culture.This paper first introduces the relevant theories of regional culture and space environment design, and the regional characteristics of northern Henan province from the aspect of nature, humanity, historical culture and economy. The introduction can provide a theoretical basis for the research.The research focuses on the aspects of natural environment, historical culture, folk culture and traditional houses in analyzing the principle of the extraction and application of regional culture in northern Henan province. Besides, it carries on the concrete analysis of the regional cultural features in that place, based on the concrete experience of space environment design methods with local characteristics. Moreover, it offers the creative design of local culture in northern Henan province, taking Hebi High-speed Rail Station project as an example.In the overall design, the author fully considers the human cognitive feeling, and analyzes the relationship amongvarious elements in cultural space from the perspective of the participant. Although these factors are discussed separately, they interwove, influence and complement each other, thus constituting a unified whole in the actual project design. This paper discusses the problems and contradictions in design, explores how to extract and reconstruct local cultural elements moderately, combines the space environment design of high-speed rail stations, and investigates how to combine regional cultural symbols with the spatial scale of High-speed Rail Stations, which is the focus of this paper.
