In this paper, The Grader’s cab is taken as the research object. According to the test results and simulation analysis, the shake of cab in the direction of forward is a major cause of poor comfort of cab. The effects of design parameters of the vibration isolation system are analyzed and the optimized plan is put forward. The cab structure is optimized. Those methods reduce the shake of cab and improve the ride comfort.The specific works of this paper are as follows:1. According to international standard, the situation of Grader cab’s isolation system and the seating comfortability are evaluated by measuring the vibratory magnitude of cab using method of dynamic testing. The original vibration isolation effect and the ride comfort are poor.2. The cab isolation system,containing the carriage, cab and isolator model, is established in ADAMS. Researching the dynamic characteristics of cab isolation system, distribution of frequency is close to excitation frequency of road and engine and the centroid projection of cab is outside. Those are the mian reason of shake in the direction of forward motion.3. Based on the cab’s vibration test and simulation, an optimization design method is proposed, which is with vibration response of foot point as the objective function when driver sits, isolator stiffness as the design variables and cab suspension system natural frequency as the constraints. Comparing the isolation effects, when different number of vibration isolators were installed for the cab. Optimal design scheme, based on the engineering practice, is put forward.4. Through the cab finite element model is builded and the cab structure is improved, a certain natural frequency is enhanced and the cab avoids the resonance.5. The influence of error, which may occur during the installation process, to the cab isolation system is studied. Such as the displacement error and eccentric error are studied specifically. And the result will guide the isolator installation of Grader’s cab.6. The stiffness parameters are found out by the optimization. So new isolators with known parameters are designed. and with the ANSYS software, the feasibility of new isolators is verified. The method is used to test the new vibration isolation system and the results prove the program can obviously improve isolation performance and resolve shaking problem.
