In order to improve the intelligent operation level of the motor operating mechanism,and realize effective tracking control of high voltage circuit breaker operation process. This paper take finite angle permanent magnet brushless DC motor as the main object of study, a simulation model of the motor is established and then the control strategy is researched. The RBF(Radial Basis Function)-PID control for the motor movement process is proposed,Experiments are carried out on intelligent control of the motor operating mechanism of the vacuum circuit breaker. The main research work is as follows:(1) The motion characteristics and controllability of finite angle permanent magnet brushless DC motor are studied, and the dynamic simulation model of finite angle permanent magnet brushless DC motor is established. On the basis of introducing the motor structure,motion process and working principle, with the mathematical model of the electric, magnetic and mechanical coupling field, the mathematical relationships between all parameters in the model are calculated, then the controllability of the motor are analyzed. Through the use of simulation tools to establish model of control system, carry out the open loop control experiment to prove the controllability of the motor.(2) Research on the control method of RBF-PID for the motor operating mechanism.The RBF-PID controller with gradient descent method is designed, the PID parameters and neural network are self adaptively adjusted by iterated algorithm. This paper has established double-loop control motor control system simulation model, and then system was simulated.The simulation results show that using the RBF-PID control method can make the tracking error is less than 0.17m/s, the speed of the motor can be adjusted quickly and effectively, and the tracking effect is better than that of the conventional PID control.(3) The control device of the motor operating mechanism based on digital signal processor is developed, and software is also designed. The control device includes power charging and discharging control unit, the current detection unit, speed detection unit etc.The use of code design tools to compile and debug the main program and the function of each part of the subroutine in CCS3.3.(4) 40.5kV high voltage motor operating mechanism of circuit breaker on-line test has been carried out. Motor actuator control system test platform was built, and then motoractuator routine test, interval speed test and intelligent control tests were completed. The test results show that the motor operating mechanism control system can achieve the conventional operation of circuit breaker, and can complete the real-time collection and processing test data. The motor movement process can be effectively controlled by RBF control strategy, the velocity tracking error is less than 0.21m/s, the intelligent control of finite angle permanent magnet brushless DC motor is realized.
