In the past few years, the yacht industry is developing rapidly in our country, the amount of the yacht driver training institutions is also growing. The shortcoming for using the true yacht to carry out training is that the cost is high, the risk is large and the training is easily influenced by season and meteorological conditions. If a part of the yacht driver training is carried out in the yacht simulators, the quality of training will be improved, the training cost and risk will be reduced. Yacht motion mathematical model is one of the key technology of simulator behavior reality, and this paper establishes motion mathematical model of the yacht respectively in still water and wave, and researches yacht motion mathematical model. The main work accomplished in this paper is as follows:Combining the domestic and overseas research achievements of ship motion model and achievements of glider plane movement, based on MMG separation modeling ideas, the paper built three degrees of freedom mathematical model of yacht in static water. Three degrees of freedom includes surge sway and yaw. According to the vertical force analysis of yacht motion, the paper established yacht heave and pitch motion model in the static water.Using common slice theory, combining with the yacht boat model and mechanical characteristics, the paper established a yacht heave and pitch mathematical model in regular head seas. According to the theory of linear rolling ship and the characteristics of the yacht sailing, the paper established yacht rolling motion mathematical model in regular wave.The yacht motion mathematical model of the simulation test platform was set up. The paper use Visual Studio development platform and Microsoft base class library (MFC) to compile simulation program, uses a 22 meters long yacht with a single propeller, single rudder and two yachts which is made by modifying this 22 meters long yacht as simulation object to carry on simulation experiment. For validation of yacht plane three degrees of freedom motion model in static water, the paper compares the simulation results with yacht model pool experimental results, and verify accuracy of the yacht plane three degrees of freedom motion model in static water. For validation of yacht heave and pitch motion model in wave, the paper compares heave and pitch motion data output from test platform with the result of the existing literature, and verify reasonability of the motion model in wave.
