Faced with increasingly fierce market competition environment, Chinese Railway Company reformed the traditional transportation organization, and put forward Rail-Freight system relative to the railway passenger Real-Name system. Railway freight transportation gradually transforms from the original plan to the market demand. Chinese Railway Company pays more attention to increasing the supply to meet the owner’s needs for the arrived time and capacity requirements, at the same time, it also benefits the railway transportation by optimizing the car flow path and proceeding reasonable car flow allocation to reduce the operating costs to improve the quality of railway freight. For the railway company, promoting Real-Freight system reform will bring profound impact on the original transport organization mode. How to adapt to this change and increase the freight market share is worth further studying for Chinese Railway Company.On the basis of research results at home and abroad, the article studies how to solve too long-time calculation during the traffic adjustment under the conditions of the large-scale network in detail, combined with the features of railway transportation and the requirement of Real-Freight.The main research work and innovative points of this paper include the following aspects.First of all, the thesis introduces the background and the reason of railway Real-Freight reform, and then introduces the basic theory of railway empty car distribution, including the definition and characteristics of empty railway car, the reason of generation and allocation of the empty car. Then it introduces the wagon flow path and the traffic flow distribution, and analyses the relationship of them. After that, it introduces the existing problem of the current traffic organization and the influence of Real-Freight reform for the wagon flow organization.Then the paper introduces three common optimization models of empty car distribution, which starts from the model and algorithm of railway empty car distribution. This paper proposes two simplifying network algorithm, which focuses on simplifying the structure of network, and then it introduces the heavy car flow merging method after simplifying network. The article proposes three empty car flow allocation by the way that applies transport problem model of operation research.At last, the paper analyses the network structure of the Ji’nan Railway Bureau and explains the necessity of simplified network. It tests the empty car distribution model under the condition of simplified network with the help of Matlab. Experimental results are in basic agreement with those expected. This paper verifies the problem of empty car flow distribution under the conditions of the different line capacity constraints. In addition, the article transforms empty wagon distribution problem after the Real-Freight reform to the imbalance transportation problem of production and sale.This paper pays more attention to the structure and the feature of railway network rather than adjusting the optimization model and finding algorithm to solve. And it proposes a new method of empty wagon flow distribution, which provides a new reference for railway empty car distribution of Real-Freight system under the condition of large-scale road network.
