The development of the automotive industry changes day by day, with the development of auto industry, the performance of auto parts also need to keep pace with the times, the shock absorber as an important part of the automobile suspension system, has very big effect for the vibration of the car and ride comfort. So it is necessary to scientifically rigorous for shock absorber part to do in.depth research. This article is based on a certain type double.tube hydraulic shock absorber to study, the main research contents include the type of the shock absorber structure understanding and analysis of the working principle, mechanical damping characteristics of shock absorber and the characteristics of the thermal analysis. On the basis of predecessors’ research, in order to get more accurate shock absorber performance index, the research content from the most basic theory knowledge, derive the theoretical mathematical formula by the point and the system of hydraulic shock absorber damping characteristics and thermal characteristic, based on the theoretical formula, take the experimental data into the formula, use the MATLAB tools, get the accurate speed characteristic curve of shock absorber, and shock absorber indicator diagram, as well as take the type double.tube hydraulic shock absorber for the bench test, make a comparison between the simulation curve and test curve based on the the formula which is derived, and satisfy the precision requirement, illustrate that the theoretical formula of derivation precision is higher. In addition, we also study the key factors affecting the model of hydraulic shock absorber, use of the derived formula, after single parameter optimization, such as the size of the gaps between the piston and cylinder work, valve plates Chang Tong orifice area and the thickness of the valve plates, and so on, get the optimized value range of each parameter. Through the parameter optimization, obtain the damping characteristic curve based on the target demand curve.Usually we design a shock absorber, in order to make the car better adapt to the needs of different road conditions, we need to fine.tune of suspension system, and shock absorber also plays a critical role, so how can we get what we want most optimal damping characteristics is our the main research content. In this paper, choosing appropriate optimization algorithm optimize the key parameters shock absorber, and get the target curve of engineering requirements speed characteristic curve and indicator diagram, at the same time use this method can shorten the period of shock absorber design, and get higher precision.The research content of this paper on the engineering practice has a great guiding significance to the design of shock absorber.
