Current launchers, payloads and spacecrafts utilize pyrotechnic devices over the course of their missions for the separation structural subsystems, the release of deployable appendages, or the activation of on-board operational subsystems. The common use of pyrotechnic devices is contributed to its high efficiency while pyroshock they produced is a less-known problem for testing and designing aerospace structures. pyroshock is a very high frequency, high acceleration transit which usually decays in less than 20 msc. most pyroshock failure occur as electrical shorts or fractures of crystal.Since 1960 s, methods of shock reduction have been developed and used in practical test and launch. Generally, there are five ways to reduce shock, which include shock source reduction, shock source isolation, increasing attenuation of shocks, using shock mounts and resigning equipments. These methods also have their own defects, such as time-consuming. This paper attempts to discuss the way of using insert and insert washer to alleviate shock.Following works were accomplished in this paper:1, Based on the traditional hybrid coordinate method, finite element model is established after the geometric model analysis was carried out. reasonable simplification is evitable in this process to make sure the finite element model can be calculated and analyzed.2, Analyze shock response of satellite after Frequency domain load is transformed to time domain load by using shock response spectrum and modification.3, Discuss the way of using insert and insert washer to alleviate shock.Conclusion are as followed:1, Shock response spectrum is more useful for shock representation, it provides more information about maximum amplitude and the frequency content of the system response.2, If the SRS match the qualification requirements within the specified tolerance level, the real structure can be regarded as subjected to this SRS.3, By comparing different ways of reducing shock, observations can be made as stiffness is of great importance for shock reduction.4, Reduction of shock by using insert washers is much more effective than using inserts.
