With the continuous development of urbanization in China, the more city buildings are built, the attendant security situation of the fire fighting is more and more serious, the using of aerial platform fire truck can partly solve this serious situation. Aerial platform fire truck is a kind of the lifting fire trucks, it is an indispensable tool for the urban fire rescue. It has the characteristics of having the spray suppression equipment, manned platform and high working height. However, the aerial platform fire truck structure is relatively complex,traditional calculation can not completely solve the structural safety problems. To ensure the safety of the structure, the finite element method is introduced to analyze the structure of the aerial platform fire truck.The research content of this paper is mainly based on the cooperation projects of Jilin University and XX group- Finite Element Analysis and Calculation for the Boom Structure of DG34 Aerial Platform Fire Truck,using the finite element analysis software ANSYS to analyze the arm structure of DG34.In this paper, the first part is the scheme calculation, the simplified beam is used to simulate the structure of the boom, the bar element is used to simulate the oil cylinder and leaf chain, then the finite element model is established. The mechanical properties of each component were obtained by analyzing and calculating,and then using the data to check the performance of the product,the calculation result provides reference for the subsequent design of the product.After calculation, we have had a general understanding to the mechanical properties of the product, if we want to have a detailed understanding about the various properties of the product, detailed finite element calculation is necessary. Using the drawings provided by the manufacturer to build the finite element model, according to the calculated risk conditions to determine the contents of detailed calculation. By analyzing and calculating, the detailed stress distribution and displacement of each component are obtained. Through the analysisand comparison of the results, we can find out the unreasonable places such as the large stress area, and give solution methods. Then the modal analysis of the boom structure is carried out, and the vibration frequencies and modes are obtained.In order to verify the accuracy of the finite element analysis and calculation, the field test must be carried out. The test plan is formulated according to the detailed calculation results, dynamic strain gauge is used to test the stress and strain, stiffness and vibration frequency of the corresponding position. Compared with the calculation results, the accuracy of the finite element model is verified.Through the analysis and field test of this paper, it provides a reference for designers,shortens the product development cycle, and lays a good foundation for the development of subsequent products.
