Aerial platform fire truck (APFT) is very important equipment for fire fighting and aerial working. With the highly development of high-rise buildings, it is of great significance to research and develop aerial platform fire truck for skyscrapers, and it becomes an increasingly urgent thing. During its development process, studying its finite element method and stability, simulating its load state and FEM analysis for its metal structures accurately could provide a basis for evaluation for its design. The research also can provide guidance for the design and development of similar equipment.This thesis was based on the development of DG54APFT, load calculation and combination was been studied. Its several dangerous working conditions were been determined. Analyzed and calculated its load in all conditions. The method of load combination was proposed. Load calculating and combination program has been established, which could connect to ANSYS software.In this paper, according to the geometry and mechanical characteristics of the structures, novel simplifying and FEM methods for boom and its specific components have been proposed. After the FEM and calculation, the strength and stiffness of arm system in dangerous in a work situation were analyzed and evaluated. It could provide a basis for whether the design was reasonable.Simplifying method and finite element modeling method for slewing table and auxiliary frame have been studied. Dangerous working conditions of them were been determined. Analyzed and calculated its load in all conditions. Methods of load applying and constraint handling were been proposed. Some novel FEM methods for specific structures were put forward. After calculation, the strength and stiffness of slewing table and auxiliary frame were evaluated. At last, some improvement programs for unsafe structures were proposed.At last, anti-rollover stability of APFT and stability on telescopic boom were sdudied. Derived the formulas to calculate outriggers reaction force and overturning moment. The regularity of relation between outriggers reaction force and the direction of the boom were obtained. The program for drawing anti-rollover working curve has been established. The formulas to calculate the critical buckling force was derived, which considered the impact of cylinder. The results showed that after considering the cylinder, the critical buckling force increased by11%than before. Local stability of telescopic boom with different crosses was analyzed using finite element method. The results of the analysis could provide a reference for the design of the cross shape of telescopic boom.
