With the rapid improvement of the vehicle technology and road environment, the vehicle speed becomes faster and the traffic accidents occur more frequently, the anti-lock brake system(ABS) significantly improves vehicle safety performance, so it has become one basic equipment in vehicle.ABS function is mainly reflected in the improvement of automobile braking performance and improves emergency braking process vehicle stability performance. In emergency braking working conditions, The ABS performances very well, but in the development process of the control system building the model is very complicated, so using simulation tools can make development fast and efficient. From the development process to the detection method, foreign-made ABS products have been very mature, there are also domestic ABS products on the market, but cannot become competitive with foreign products no matter of the performance or the reliability. With the domestic law of the braking performance have become increasingly demanding, the ABS equips more and more frequently and filled with a variety of the ABS products on the market, so braking performance testing and evaluation becomes very important.At now, the research of ABS mainly depends on computer simulation and vehicle test in field, but I cannot get high precision. On the one hand,if I rely on vehicle test, it would need more time and money;on the other hand the theory and repeatability make less contributions to our test.This paper aims to change ABS test from vehicle road test to computer simulation by ABS HIL testing system based on x PC target. The ABS HIL tests are comprehensive, accurate, repeatable, no traffic accident, which leads to cutting the cost and saving much money. In this paper, I developed ABS hardware in the loop(HIL) testing system based on x PC, set up typical ABS test conditions, and evaluated the ABS.In this paper, the ABS working principle is shown. Based on our HIL testing system, I built models by Matlab/Simulink. I developed x PC monitor software with C++, and analyzed ABS hydraulic control unit including brake pedal, vacuum booster, master cylinder, hydraulic regulator, hydraulic brake pipes and wheel cylinders,etc. This paper focuses on the design of the electromagnetic measurement circuit and the performance characteristic of the linear hall sensor unit UGN3501 M, calibrates the U-I characteristics of the solenoid valve, which leads to establish the solenoid valve motion model in the end.Finally, some tests are tried under the diffident kinds of experiment environment, such as: uniform pavement; pavement but; isolated road. There is a summary and outlook at the end of the article.
