In the context of the construction industry development, there are many problems in Chinese construction industry, such as the low level of information, the serious loss of information in the transmission process, the low efficiency of application, but the building information model (BIM) timely solve these problems. BIM software which is improved continuously is widely applied in the construction industry, but the application in the scaffolding system is still in its infancy. Because of complicated projects, poor visual effects and great material statistical error in traditional scaffold design, According to the ring lock scaffold promoted, this paper proposes a new idea which combines BIM technology and ring lock scaffold.In order to achieve the function of generating common scaffold structure system three-dimensional model quickly at the situation of given step, span and other parameters from the scaffolding, this paper studies from the following three aspects:(1) Combined with the actual situation, analyze and summarize the basic characteristics and structure form of the common scaffold structure system, and understand the common component type and parameters of ring lock scaffold.(2) Understand the Revit of BIM software deeply, clarify its mechanism of operation and development, and draw each rod family model of ring lock scaffold in detail.(3) Conduct the second development of Revit software, so that the software can quickly generate various types of common scaffold structure system depending on the different terrain and architectural style, and can quickly generate operating aircraft, ladder, guardrail, scaffold boards, safety nets and other ancillary facilities.Finally, combined with common engineering, bridge building and other common engineering instance model, this paper arranges different forms of scaffold structure system, and shows the results of BIM technology in the ring lock scaffold system, and introduces the manual process of secondary development function based on Revit platform.
