Research On Post-Urbanization Urban-Rural Synergy Public Space Design Based On CSA Model

Public space is of great significance to people’s activity and communication. The importance of the rural is growing gradually under the process of urbanization and Overall Urban-rural Development, while urban public space has always been paid great attention. Rural public space being a core part of the rural construction, is faced with a lot of difficulties:the traditional rural public space decays, while the newly-built rural public space becomes a mere place, lacking vitality, and fails to meet the needs of people. Rural public space is on the edge of refactoring.CSA-"Community Supported Agriculture" or "Community Shared Agriculture" is a concept that brings food producers and consumers together in a relationship that supports values associated with sustainable agriculture, community development, and food security. At the heart of the concept is the notion of sharing, focusing on the most basic needs of a person, physiological needs, or in other words, food. People tend to go beyond the scope of the basic needs and strive for constant betterment according to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, while education will play an important role in fulfilling people’s higher needs. To a certain extent, education will satisfy people’s initiative to learn from rural, learn from nature, especially that of children and youth. Being a potential power to promote rural industrial upgrading, education will help rural labor with the transition to service industry.Based on enlightenment and inspiration of CSA Model, this paper puts forward a concept of constructing Urban-rural Synergy Public Community with the core notion of education. ESC-"Education/Experience/Entertainment Shared Community" will play a vital role in the connection of the urban and rural residents, sharing education resources and implementing the sustainable Overall Urban-rural Development. It also puts forward Five Principles, Three Elements and Four Mechanisms of the construction of Urban-rural Synergy Public Space.By means of literature research, field investigation, interview and questionnaires, this paper analyses the current situation, people’s demands and contradictions of research area in Wenling. Zhejiang. Based on ESA suitability analysis, the master layout is determined and plays a role in the experimental plannings of two research sites.ESC-"Education/Experience/Entertainment Shared Community", to some extent, will play a certain role in the layout of education facilities, construction of Urban-rural Synergy Public Space in the future:the arrangement of education resources based on Overall Urban-rural Development; the protection of cultivated land based on teaching base; the improvement of comprehensive quality based on ESC.
