This paper researches on modified the performance of cement mortar by new polymer latex (PTB latex). Based on the theory of Orthogonal experimental design, The physical and mechanical properties, waterproof and impermeability of polymer modified cement mortar are studied through a lot of experiments. The effect of PTB latex on Microstructure and pore structure of cement mortar was observed by scanning electron microscope and mercury intrusion porosimeter test, which provides a theoretical basis for mechanism analysis for the development of new polymer-modified waterproof and impermeability mortar. In view of the PTB latex modified cement mortar with high-quality waterproof, impermeability, corrosion resistance, adhesion properties, it can be used as the road, railway tunnel and other underground works of the repair and reinforcement of materials. For underground works currently common and difficult to solve water leakage, cracks and other issues. In this paper, we take the 316 National Highway Zhuqi Tunnel Engineering Water Leakage as an example, based on field investigation and detection results of water leakage, using a new of PTB latex modified Waterproof and Impermeability Mortar was developed, and the construction technology was developed to control the leakage of the tunnel. comprehensive treatment of water leakage of the tunnel by targeted construction technology.The main research results of this article are as follows:1、Based on the collection of relevant professional information at home and abroad, the content and emphasis of the research about polymer modified cement-based materials are reviewed, and the present situation of the application is analyzed. Finally, we determine the main direction and content of this paper for the study about waterproof and impermeability of polymer modified cement mortar is still weak.2、The basic properties of the PTB latex modified cement mortar are studied by experiments. Compared with the reference mortar, the mortar with PTB latex has a better performance about flexural strength, waterproof, corrosion resistance, bonding strength and flexibility, and the workability of mortar is also more ideal. It is indicated the PTB latex has a variety of characteristics, which can effectively improve the basic properties of the cement mortar.3、The impact of dose of PTB latex, admixture and mineral filler on polymer-modified cement impermeability were further studied through orthogonal test, the three factors of polymer-binder ratio, water-binder ratio and sand-binder ratio were mainly studied of three factors. It is indicated polymer-binder ratio is the most significant factor that affects the bond performance and impermeability of polymer-modified cement mortar. In the process of optimizing experiment, by incorporating latex powder (dosage of 0.5% of the amount of cement), the polymer latex modified waterproof and impermeability mortar with high cost performance was obtained.4、The result of scanning electron microscope (SEM) showed the PTB latex modified cement mortar polymer network formed the quite perfect whole when the polymer content reaches 6.7%. Based on the micro structure experiment, the waterproof mechanism of PTB latex modified cement mortar is further explored by surface water spray method. The result shows the mixing cement mortar with PTB latex gets a well waterproof because of the hydrophobicity of the mortar surface.5、In view of the tunnel repair reinforcement effect depends on the new and old materials bonding, waterproof and excellent impermeability, taking into account the PTB latex has many advantages in practical engineering application increasing, and many successful application of engineering examples. Taking the 316 National Highway Zhuqi Tunnel Engineering as an example, this paper surveyed the geographical environment, structure and drainage design of the tunnel engineering and the statistical analysis of lining cracks and water leakage was through the detection technology of bamboo tunnel. Finally, the developed PTB latex modified cement mortar is used for the treatment of Zhuqi tunnel water leakage with suitable construction technology, and the good effects are obtained.
