With the advance of new rural construction, has promoted the integration of rural and urban, which also makes the fire protection problem of rural buildings prominent. Traditional rural fire protection facilities, however, quite primitive, and even put out a fire by carrying buckets of water. And the risk of residential fire is continuously raising with facilities consummate of rural buildings, which threaten the personal and property safety of the resident. Hence, with the object of new rural multi-story buildings, this paper has designed a suitable fire protection system, and has discussed disadvantages of the fire protection system at present. The main content of this paper includes the following several aspects:1.Select suitable fire protection device on account of object buildings. This paper has analyzed the operating principle, merits and demerits of indoor fire hydrant system, automatic sprinkling fire extinguishing system and so on. Made choice of fire protection devices mainly for indoor fire hydrant system by comparing system economy and reliability.2.Relevant calculation of rural buildings fire protection system. Made relevant rules from Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings and Code for design of building water supply and drainage as standard to calculate parameters of indoor fire hydrant system such as water pressure, water consumption. And has proposed a method by sharing the supplementary water pool of sanitation and fire protection to fix the problem of stagnant water in the pool. Determine the volume of fire protection pool by calculating the flow rate of sanitation and fire protection water consumption, and offer a theory support for the design in next follows.3.Accomplish sharing water pool and pump of sanitation and fire protection. Selected plan of sharing pump at first, then assessed the feasibility of two plans by putting one pint-sized pump and one large-sized pump in parallel. Put forward the design diagram of sharing pump by following requirements of former thoughts. Drew out the pipe distribution sketch diagram of the residential community and designed control units to realize sanitation water supplement when there is no fire, and switch in parallel with large-sized pump to supply water when there is a fire. On the basis of the calculation of context, determine relevant parameters of two pumps.4.Submit an idea of multifunction light which could use for navigation and emergency lighting to solve the problem of mounting separately each type of lights, heavy maintenance and mount needs and large space occupation. Mainly included structural design, principal framework design and control unit implementation. It could turn navigation light on while comply with the requirements of electricity supply, and make both navigation and emergency light illuminate when electricity supply come across a problem.
