Shading design is an important means of architectural design. It is important not only for building energy efficiency, but also for the improvement of the indoor light and thermal environment. It is also an important part of the building facade design. How to combine shading technology and architectural art is an important task to shading design for a long time. With the development and popularization of the contemporary digital architecture technology, more and more solutions arise for this problem. The method of "Performance driven form" is one of the most important part of it. This method works by parameterized modeling, computer simulations of the physical environment and data optimization algorithm. It can provide a large number of alternatives for the architect quickly and efficiently. This design is driven by the parametric design method and the method of "Performance driven form", so this design can explore more about sunshade form design.The design combines of three parts. The first part is the selection of Parameterized prototype, by collecting parametric form of shading design cases. I refine two types of shade and generating method after carding and analysis. At the same time, I produced a variety of variants with parameter selection and variable control. The final results are based on two kinds of operation method of shading types of 13 kinds of forms and it can be used in different construction forms with the use of parameterized modeling. In the second part, through the Rhino Grasshopper platform, DIVA sunshine analysis software and the Galapagos genetic algorithm software, I set up process and framework for integrating parameterized construction design and the design method of the outside of construction which is based on the analysis of the physical simulation. I also complete more than 30 group optimization experiment. By the experimental observation and summary of modeling process, the last part analyzes the different shading effect and senses for different shading types. This part also puts forward the design research deficiency and the possible future development direction.
