Research And Application On Cloud Service System For Intelligent Public Transportation

With the rapid development of the national economy and the urbanization process, the traffic jam has become one of the challenging problems faced by large and medium cities in China. At present, the Quality of Services (QoS) of bus information services is not good enough. Bus passengers are difficult to obtain the most required information. Under the fast development of mobile Internet and the ever-increasing popularity of smart phones, the combination of bus information services and mobile terminals will be helpful. In this dissertation, we are motivated to propose an intelligent bus cloud service system and its Android application software, which provides more convenient public-transportation-information services for the bus passengers.Firstly, we carry out an investigation and analysis of the passengers’demand for intelligent bus cloud service system, studying the existing problems of bus information service in the present stage, and pointing out the necessity to improve the bus information services through developing mobile bus information service system. Secondly, in order to meet the needs of residents travel information, with integration of Android technology, Baidu LBS technology, cloud computing and other advanced technologies, an intelligent bus cloud service system and its Android application software are designed and implemented. The system is able to provide convenient bus card payment management, Wi-Fi access, personalized social media services for passengers, so that the passengers can enjoy better experience in network access and related services of map, media, entertainment, social networking and e-commerce, etc.To implement the proposed intelligent bus cloud box and Android application software, this dissertation builds up the basic framework, including three major parts of intelligent bus transit center server, intelligent bus cloud box and intelligent mobile terminal application software. The software system has an APP based on the current popular Android platform. The intelligent bus cloud box is integrated with vehicle wireless router and vehicular server. It uses Tomcat server, and supports Wi-Fi connection communication management, server storage and transmission management, and system maintenance management for vehicular environment. The intelligent bus cloud box implements functions of mass storage, personalized services, and completing computing tasks whenever and wherever possible, to provide more convenient travel services and better experience of bus ride.
