Manufacturing company is turning from a single product design and production to overall solution(including product and service) design and production, which are prompted by the following factors: sustainable manufacturing and consumption, customer for functionality or results provided by product and service together, increasing homogenization of product, and so on. PSS(Product service systems) is a new principle for adapting the strategic transfer of manufacturing company.Program design as a key line in the product service system design can decide function, quality and other factors of PSS in the future greatly. At present, the PSS design is not perfect, effective design methods and support technology is not mature, this making the design process and design result of product service system has a lot of problems, as integration of product and service, design standardization transfer from customer demand to engineering features, deign result single and so on. These problems will affect system function. This paper makes research on the optimize design of product service system focus on complex mechanical product, and make research as the following aspects:1. Make research on integration of product and service which is the key of product service system design. Establish dependency relationships between product and service through the design structure matrix, then establish database of PSS solution based on the relationships.2. Make research on transmission and distribution of customer demand in product service system design process. Improve the structural model of house of quality to make it easily to realize transmission and distribution form customer demand to technical characteristics in PSS. Realize the first optimization design of PSS.3. Make research on the product service system design in solution database to achieve the second optimization design of product service system based on genetic algorithms and TRIZ theory. Genetic operation has expanded objective optimization search space, combining TRIZ Theory establish appropriate coding design methods and the optimal method, realize the optimization design of PSS eventually.The study from design process and design results two angles to solve the optimization design problem of product service system. Meanwhile, based on c# and visual studio 2008 develop auxiliary optimized design platform. This platform can provide technical support when designer optimize product service system design. Finally, take the sewage treatment equipment as the example to verify the optimization design of product service system.
