| With the development of social economy and the improvement of automobile technology,the traffic situation and automobile performance in today’s society have been greatly improved,but traffic accidents are still prominent global problems endangering people’s safety and health,and pedestrians are the group most likely to suffer casualties in traffic accidents.Especially for China,which has a high proportion of mixed traffic between pedestrians and motor vehicles,the proportion of casualties caused by traffic accidents is among the highest in the world.Countries are paying more and more attention to pedestrian protection.Developed countries and regions such as Europe,Japan and South Korea have taken pedestrian protection as a mandatory regulatory requirement for basic access to the vehicle market,and many countries and regions such as Europe have included pedestrian protection evaluation requirements into the new vehicle evaluation procedures NCAP.In China,the recommended implementation of "vehicle-to-pedestrian collision protection" standard began on July 1,2010.Domestic vehicle manufacturers generally pay more attention to the design and development of pedestrian collision protection,and pedestrian protection technology has achieved great development.At present,although there is no timetable for the implementation of mandatory pedestrian protection regulations,the "C-NCAP 2018 version" adds an evaluation item of pedestrian protection,stipulating that the total score of pedestrian protection is 15 points(with a weight of 15%),which reflects that China attaches more and more importance to pedestrian protection,and it is necessary and significant to study and improve pedestrian protection technology.Under the combined influence of the national government’s subsidies on new energy and the policy of restricting the purchase and production of fuel vehicles in big cities,the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China ranked first in the world in 2015 and continued to maintain the leading position in the world from 2016 to 2018,among which small pure electric vehicles account for the highest proportion(over 30%)in new energy.Meanwhile,from 2019,the "CAFC & NEV Credit" regulation,which evaluates the CAFC and NEV scores at the same time,will promote the sustainable and rapid growth of China’s new energy vehicles.In addition,the 2018 version of C-NCAP stipulates that the total score of head performance in pedestrian protection is 12 points,accounting for 80% of the total score of pedestrian protection.Therefore,the research on pedestrian head protection technology of small electric vehicles is of great significance for strengthening pedestrian protection and reducing vehicle collision casualties in China.By summarizing the domestic and foreign research and application status of pedestrian protection,this paper studies the head injury mechanism and protection principle of pedestrian protection for small electric vehicles.Using advanced finite element simulation calculation method,taking a small electric vehicle as the research object,analyzing the detailed contrast to the different schemes of pedestrian head protection effect of the front styling of the vehicle,engine compartment layout,engine hood structure and materials.Finally figure out the main design principles of small electric vehicle pedestrian head protection to help optimize the small electric vehicle head protection performance.This is practical and effective design proposal for the OEMS. |
