Thinking And Exploration On The 3^rd Ring Road Greening Maintenance Management In Xi’an

Road greening has been attracting a lot of attention since Xi’an launched the project of Creating State-level Hygiene City, National Garden City, Environmental Protection Model City, and National Civilized City. From then on, Xi’an has been staging extensive campaign of city greening. As a result, afforestation area has been increasing gradually, and the whole city is full of plants and all kinds of flowers. However, it cannot be achieved just within a day to improve city environment, to reduce environment pollution, to regulate climate and to create comfortable living environment. Greening construction is the result of our practical action, but it is majorly based on our management. Only by scientific management can we maintain our city greening achievement.The thesis aims to analyze current situation of City Greening according to collecting data and video material of Xi’an 3rd Ring Road. Based on the theoretical research of road greening, the thesis submit following questions: 1) work handover of road maintenance is not in place; 2) road greening has been attracting too little attention, and it is carried out in extensive cultivation; 3) work of road maintenance is lack of professionals; 4) the skill of road maintenance has yet to be improved; 5) it involves human factors which increase the difficulty of road maintenance; 6)mechanization of road maintenance is relatively low.The thesis come up with some targeted suggestions based on above questions of City Greening and Road Maintenance in Xi’an: 1)greening design, construction and maintenance should be integrated together and be continuous; 2)mechanization, professional level and elaboration of road maintenance should be greatly improved; 3)strengthening theoretical study to improve professional competence of staff; 4)enhance advocation and establish legal safeguard system. Only by concerted effort, professional maintenance level, advanced maintenance skill and greening protection awareness can road greening develop maximum ecological benefits and social benefits.
