The Study Of Local Expression Of Southwest Regions Of China Railway Station Square Design Under The Background Of Cultural Diversity

As an important component of railway station building space, station square is a place providing transfer, wait, rest and distribution of people and vehicles to passengers, meanwhile bears important functions of connecting different transportation methods and ensuring smooth travel of passengers etc, which plays an important role in ensuring high-efficient operation of railway station.Now, under the influence of modern architectural thoughts, the native characters of each region and each nation are disappearing gradually; therefore, presenting native characters and native culture in landscape design is of great practical significance in developing and inheriting national culture and reserving cultural diversities. As the urban gateway, railway station square has special requirements in displaying urban spirit and humanistic characteristics etc; moreover, we have great numbers of minorities in southwest China, which helps to form unique cultural characteristics different from other regions. Therefore, by taking cultural diversities as research background and taking railway station squares in southwest as research objects, this paper extracts and transforms various cultural elements in this area and applies them to the design of station square, which is of great importance in solving native expression issues of railway station square in southwest regions.On the basis of large amount of checking of related literature and field research, this paper starts from dialectical relationship between cultural diversity and landscape nativity, explores the necessary relationship between the two, makes research on national culture in southwest regions on this basis and summarizes design language and elements that suitable for native expression of railway station square. It is hoped to have some enlightenments for the design of railway station square in this region and have certain referential value to the selection of formal language.This paper firstly elaborates the related concepts of landscape nativity, cultural diversity as well as railway station square, analyzes necessary relationship between cultural diversity and landscape nativity and then summarizes strategies and difficulties for native expression of railway station square in southwest region based on the investigation and research on practical cases in southwest region. On this basis, it summarizes cultural elements that have important influence on native expression of station square design, summarizes and extracts elements from each national culture that can be used into native expression of station square by taking each minority in southwest region as research object and summarizes native expression strategies of railway station square in southwest region on the background of diversified cultures as well as the specific presentation elements and design language.This paper takes cultural diversity as background, tries to interpret connotations of native landscape from a brand new perspective, summarizes landscape elements that have valuable influence on native expression of railway station square by taking complicated and various minority cultures in southwest region and makes innovations in research ideas and research objects. The research results have certain reference value for the selection of strategies and expression elements for native expression of railway station square in our southwest region.
